Countrywide Stewardship Scheme

We have started to plan a new project to create a “Winter Feeding Area” for farmland birds and mammals.

Over the coming months, we will be hoping to turn a small piece of grass land

The new crop will provide autumn and winter feed for the birds and the flowers will benefit bumblebees, butterflies and hoverflies.

We will also be planting new native hedge lines.

Stage One

One of the first stages is to start to fence the area off.

We need to make sure the post holes are deep enough for the posts, so we use a tape measure
